What is PRP and Why do I want it?
PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) is the liquid gold of the blood that contains vital stem cells and all-important growth factors to help reactivate dormant hair follicles, thicken existing hair, and maintain active follicles. PRP can truly regrow hair unlike many other hair loss treatments that simply make the hair you have healthier.
The procedure is a safe and affordable alternative to other hair loss treatments and the best part is, it works!

PRP is a hair growth revolution!
People are getting thicker heads of hair every day using the revolution of platelet rich plasma! Most hair growth treatments focus on thicking the the strands of hair that you already have. PRP will actually re-stimulate and regrow dormant hair. This is what you need to get a thicker head of hair you can run your hands through and stop hiding under a hat!
What does PRP therapy stand for?
PRP stands for Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy. The process of creating PRP involves separating the red blood cells from the plasma of your own blood. This process concentrates the bodies natural healing substances. We then take that concentrated, healthy plasma and apply it directly to the skin after microneedling to facilitate penetration. This allows the skin to be rejuvenated with new collagen growth and improved blood suppl
How much does PRP cost?
The cost of PRP is directly related to the quality of equipment used to get the highest concentration of plasma possible. Think of the difference between a McDonald's Cheese Burger and a rib-eye from Ruth's Chris Steak House. They are both beef, but one is very superior to the other. At Littleton PRP we use a centrifuge that results in platelets at 7x concentration. Our treatments vary in price based on location and application. We also offer multi-joint or multi-treatment discounts. Please call 720-371-1662 for more information.
Is the process painful?
PRP treatments are a minimally invasive medical procedure and tend not to be painful but can be uncomfortable. The scalp is numbed prior to the shallow injections to decrease any discomfort. Any small amount of pain following the procedure can be managed with over the counter Tylenol. It is important when using over the counter painkillers, to avoid using NSAIDS (such as Aspirin, Ibuprofen, and Alleve).
How is PRP created?
The creation of Platelet Rich Plasma at Littleton PRP is simple, painless and quick. The process involves taking your blood, just like at a routine blood draw. We then take the blood and place it in a centrifuge that separates the red blood cells from the PRP. The red blood cells are discarded and the highly concentrated platelet rich plasma is used in the procedure. The entire process takes about 30 minutes and is done completely in office!
Why Use PRP for the hair?
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) treatments are a natural alternative to harsh chemical treatments that have many side effects. PRP treatmens utilize the body's own healing power with specific targeting to heal and restore. It is also a superior option to hair transplants as its much less invasive and leaves no scarring.
What are the side effects of a PRP treatment?
Slight redness and tenderness of the scalp is expected for the first few hours after treatment. Within 24-48 hours the redness will subside. Some people experience some mild sensitivity for 1-3 days in the treated area. With in 6-8 weeks you typically start seeing new peach fuzz and thickening of the hair.
